Blessings Grow on Family Trees

These are my grandparents.  My father was able to interview them before they passed away.
I used those Oral Interviews to create a video that can be accessed by scanning a QR code that
I put on their headstone in Lava Hot Springs.

I need to tell you a few things about my grandmother.  I used to take care of her for a few years
before she and my grandfather passed away.  She picked out her headstone before she died....she
even tried out her casket!  She said that she really wanted something comfortable for eternity!

When I was taking care of her, in her later years, she would do that funny little laugh as she told
me that she wanted to have a bench put under the tree at the cemetery by her headstone so that her
descendants could come and enjoy a visit with her.  Then she would tell me how it would be so fun
to have it set up so that whenever anyone sat on that bench, they could hear her speak to them from
the grave!  I laughed with her and thought, "There is no way for that to happen!".  This was at the time when cassette tapes were about the best recording devices there were.

When I heard about QR codes and how they were being put on headstones to remember the dead,
I decided that was a good way for her wish to come true!

We all lead very busy lives.  It seems like the days come and go and you barely have time
to get the essential things done.  What types of things can we do, in just a short period of time?

There are so many aspects of Family History, that it's really kind of hard for me to list them all.

  1. When I click on the Headstone QR code it says video is private.
